Alfreton Add Shaw to Squad
 
 
 
 

Nicky Law, manager of Conference Premier club Alfreton Town, has significantly strengthened his squad with the addition of experienced former Cambridge United central midfield player Tom Shaw.

A former England `C` international, Shaw, 26, has signed a two-year deal with the Reds.

He began his career with Nottingham Forest's youth academy before moving to the youth team at Rushden & Diamonds where he progressed to play in the Football League for the now defunct club.

After a loan spell with the also defunct Nuneaton Borough, Shaw signed a one-year contract with Mansfield Town but moved on to Tamworth and then Kidderminster Harriers in 2010.

He made forty-two appearances for the Harriers before joining Cambridge United on a two-year deal in 2011 where he made seventy-nine appearances, scoring thirteen times.
