Former Lincoln City defender Paul Mayo has signed a one-year deal with ambitious Blue Square North side, Gainsborough Trinity.
Mayo started his career with Lincoln City where he made 106 appearances before moving to Watford in 2004 for £65,000.
A managerial change at Watford resulted in Mayo returning to Lincoln where he played a further fifty-seven times before agreeing to a move to Notts County where he played forty-one times for the Magpies before switching to Mansfield Town.
The 28-year-old has signed on at the Northolme following a successful season with league rivals Corby Town.
He has been joined by Ilkeston Town defender Luke Waterfall, who has signed a two-year deal with Brian Little's team.
Born in Sheffield, Waterfall started his career with Barnsley and was a regular for their youth and reserve teams before being released, signing for Tranmere Rovers in July 2008.
After a loan spell with Altrincham in October 2008 he was released by Tranmere at the end of the 2008/09 season and after unsuccessful trials with Oxford United and York City, signed for Ilkeston Town on August 1st 2009.
