Woking came back from a goal down in their Blue Square South play-off semi final first leg on Tuesday night to beat Dover Athletic 2-1 and give themselves a slight advantage going into the second leg on the weekend.
A 3,080 crowd at Kingfield just about saw the visitors take a 3rd minute lead through an Ollie Shulz header as the large numbers of fans trying to get into the ground saw the match delayed for 15 minutes.
They would have been in their seats to see Moses Ademola (pictured) equalise on 17 minutes though before witnessing Matt Wright finding a winner on 40 minutes after turning in Nicky Nicolau's cross.
The start of the match was frenetic and Shulz sent the away fans wild when he got his head to an inch-perfect Nicky Southall corner.
Then on 6 minutes it was the home fans to rise from their seats when Craig Cloke pulled off a miraculous clearance as he performed an overhead kick to steer Craig Faulconbridge's header away from danger after it had hit the bar and the goal line.
Keeper Ross Flitney was then called into action after 12 minutes as he got his hand to a header that was heading into the bottom corner.
There was no let up, however, as Woking pilled on the pressure with three corners in succession with the third leading to Faulconbridge heading the ball down into Ademola's path, who beat Flitney all ends up.
With Woking now starting to dominate precedings it was Giuseppe Sole, who had a good chance after 20 minutes, but a good save from Flitney denied the striker, who hurt himself in the process and had to be replaced shortly afterwards.
Schulz came close again in the 26th minute with his header cleared off the line. It was a superb run and shot towards the top corner.
Dover striker Adam Birchall then tested the home keeper after 38 minutes with a fantastic turn and shot and if they had harboured any hopes of regaining the lead, those were dashed when Wright headed powerfully home.
Dver had the first real chance of the second half as James Rogers hit a shot goalward, but it too was well saved.
Schulz wasted a chance to find a second goal as he headed over on 61 minutes after a small spell of pressure that saw a good corner followed up by the free-kick that led to the chance.
Dover then saw another half chance disappear as the referee waved away a penalty appeal as Shaun Welford appeared to be tripped in the box.
As the match wore on, the chances became fewer and further between for both sides. The managers` attempts to reignite the tie by making late substitutes failed to bring about any impact and if anything only succeeded in subduing the game even further.
