Bath City and Woking will join Dover Athletic and Chelmsford City in the Blue Square South following Saturday`s final round of league games which also saw Worcester City fill the final relegation place.
Bath got the point they needed in a goalless encounter at Twerton Park against St Albans City, while Woking beat Weymouth 4-0 at Kingfield, making it above Braintree Town, who were beaten at Cressing Road by champions Newport County.
Craig Faulconbridge gave Woking a 4 minute lead that Giussepe Sole doubled on 13 minutes.
Nic Nicolau made it 3-0 with 13 minutes to go and Moses Ademola completed the rout in stoppage time.
If Braintree thought County would ease up after clinching the title some time ago they were mistaken.
Indeed, the Exiles even held on after having Paul Cochlin sent-off midway through the second half, although they were two-up by then with goals from Jamie Collins after 7 minutes and Cochlin 4 minutes later.
Brad Quinton did net the resultant spot-kick, but they were unable to find an equaliser and missed out on the play-offs by just a single point.
As did Havant & Waterlooville in the end after they beat third-placed Chelmsford City 5-2 at Westleigh Park.
Warren McBean gave City a 20th minute lead and an own goal doubled their advantage after 35 minutes.
Crucially Wes Fogden reduced the arrears just before the break and 7 minutes after it Manny Williams equalised from the penalty spot, swiftly followed by Ian Simpemba to make it 3-2.
Williams added a fourth 15 minutes from time and then Fogden notched his second and the Hawks` fifth with a couple of minutes remaining.
The final relegation spot was a straight fight between Worcester and Lewes, who headed City by two points at the start of play.
Therefore Worcester needed Lewes to lose or draw at Hampton & Richmond Borough and beat Eastleigh themselves at St George`s Lane.
They did their bit, 4-1, with goals from Marco Adaggio from the spot after 8 minutes, Darren Clyde just before the break and a Rob Elvins brace on 75 and 83 minutes – all that after Richard Gillespie had given Eastleigh an early 3rd minute lead.
But the Rooks spoiled City`s joy, winning 2-1 at the Beveree, with Joe Keehan giving them the lead just after the break and Danny Gradwell adding to that on 51 minutes, with Dave Tarpey replying shortly afterwards.
The other side in the play-offs, Dover, shared a goalless draw at Crabble with Staines Town.
Elsewhere, Bromley hammered Thurrock 6-3 at Ship Lane with Wes Daly after 15 minutes and an Ashley Carew spot-kick on 25 minutes giving them a 2-0 lead that Leon McKenzie reduced a minute before the break.
Steve Ferguson made it 3-1 to the visitors 7 minutes after the break, but the Essex men pulled it back to 3-3 with goals from David Bryant on 56 minutes and McKenzie again from the spot on 77.
Less than a minute later though Harrison Dunk restored Bromley`s lead and then a late brace in the final 3 minutes from Richard Butler confirmed Bromley`s victory.
Dorchester Town finished the season on a high, beating Maidenhead United 4-2 at the Jewson Stadium with goals from Matty Groves from the spot, a Ryan Moss brace and Jamie Gleeson – Sam Collins and Ross Wall replying.
Bishop`s Stortford beat already relegated Weston-super-Mare 3-0 with Marc Sellar, Duane Jackman and Scott Shulton all finding the net for the Blues.
And finally Welling United and Basingstoke Town shared the spoils at Park View Road, with a David Pratt penalty giving `Stoke the lead 10 minutes into the second half and Loui Fazakerley equalising on 64 minutes.
