Danny Scheppel has rejoined Blue Square North club Redditch United from troubled Zamaretto League Division One Midlands neighbours Bromsgrove Rovers.
Scheppel was an integral part of the successful `double` winning team that finished as champions of the Southern League Western Division then won the play-offs to earn promotion to the newly-formed Conference North in 2004.
He remained with the club for the next two seasons before leaving the Valley Stadium in 2006 after many years service, moving on to Evesham United before he moved to Bromsgrove in 2008.
Reds` boss Gary Whild said: “Danny has always been a good servant to Redditch and he knows what we are about as a football club.
“He is still more than capable of playing at this level and is a naturally fit lad and can play in a number of positions which will prove invaluable to us between now and the end of season and we are delighted to have him back.”
