Hatters Move Towards Play-Off Spots
28 January 2010 09:22:00

Luton Town moved to within a point of the Blue Square Premier play-off zone as they saw off troubled Histon to earn a third league win on the trot on Wednesday night.

Hatters` debutant defender Janos Kovacs, signed from Lincoln City earlier this week, dived to head in Kevin Nicholls' corner and set the visitors on their way.

And first half substitute Matthew Barnes-Homer then helped set up midfielder Asa Hall for his fifth goal of the season.

Histon, booted out of the FA Trophy on Monday, remain ten points clear of trouble after a second straight defeat.

It was only the third league game since December 5th for weather-hit Luton, who still have several games in hand on the play-off zone.
