MANGAN COMPLETES TRANSFER TO WREXHAM
20 January 2010 15:27:00

Striker Andy Mangan has joined Blue Square Premier club Wrexham for an undisclosed fee.

Mangan, 23, who actually last kicked a ball competitively for Wrexham`s league rivals Forest Green Rovers in the final match of the 2008/09 season, then found himself ineligible to play again until the end of December 2009 due to a suspension imposed for breaches of betting regulations, when he was a player with Bury prior to joing Rovers.

In the full season he had with Rovers he notched thirty goals and the `golden boot` award from Blue Square. Following his suspension ending he was then sidelined due to an injury.

Having undergone a medical with Wrexham and agreed personal terms the two clubs have settled on the fee for his regsitration and other conditions, to allow the transfer to take place including international clearance.

Forest Green acknowledge the contribution Mangan made to club and have wished him all the best in his future playing career and long life to his family.

His personal life did wish to see him located nearer to his home and young family being based in Liverpool.

He will always have a place in the historic fabric of Forest Green Rovers Football club, albeit a short one in length of time at the New Lawn.

Everyone at the club will not only miss his goals but his "scouse banter", although the club stresses the point that we have never stood in the way of any players personal wishes for their future plans and aspirations.
