Simpson Completes Posh Move
05 January 2010 17:34:00

Coca-Cola Championship side Peterborough United have confirmed the signing of Josh Simpson from Blue Square Premier club Histon for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old has spent the last two months on loan at Posh but has found opportunities hard to come by, having to make do with three substitute appearances.

Having earned a reputation as a goalscoring midfielder at Histon the England `C` international proved he was capable of moving up the divisions by scoring a brace, including the last-gasp equaliser in the astonishing comeback against Cardiff City last week.

The former Cambridge United ace has been rewarded with a three-and-a-half year contract and seems to be held in high regard by manager Mark Cooper.

Cooper will know all about Simpson having come up against the central midfielder during his time in the Conference managing Kettering Town.
