Knitters Gain Cup Boost

Hinckley United gained a 2-0 home victory over Gainsborough Trinity on Monday night in the Blue Square North.
The win at the Greene King Stadium will be a boost for the Knitters ahead of Saturday's FA Cup First Round tie at Rushden & Diamonds.
Hinckley were held to a goalless draw at home by high-flying Stalybridge Celtic last Saturday and after both sides missed several decent chances, a similar outcome looked on the cards.
But the home side eventually broke the deadlock 20 minutes from time when Richard Lavery scored from close range following a goalmouth scramble.
And Dean Thomas` side made sure of the points and cement ninth place in the table 9 minutes from the end when Alex Taylor fired home number two.
