Blue Square North club Hinckley United have signed experienced striker Chukki Eribenne.
The 28-year-old has spent pre-season with the club after moving to the area and has agreed to sign, adding his wealth of experience to the forward line.
Eribenne began his career at Coventry City before joining AFC Bournemouth. This led to a move into non-League football with Havant & Waterlooville, for whom he was player of the year in 2003/04, and then Weymouth where he was top scorer in 2005/06 as they won promotion to the Conference.
Spells at Grays Athletic, Ebbsfleet United and Sutton United followed before he relocated to Stoke Golding during the summer.
Concerns about the fitness of Eribenne have been eased by manager Dean Thomas, who revealed the striker has agreed to a pay-as-you-play deal after picking up a hamstring strain in the pre-season friendly with Nuneaton Town.
Also signing up for the club for the new campaign are Neil Cartwright, Stuart Giddings, Chima Dozie and Louis Hamilton. Triallists Dan Barker and Nick Jupp have also agreed deals.
Jupp, Dozie and Hamilton, like Nick Pollard and Jack Roberts have previously done during pre-season, have signed dual forms with Hinckley United.
Jupp is being loaned to Shepshed Dynamo, Dozie to Quorn, Hamilton will continue to play for Hinckley Downes, while Barker is also pencilled in for a loan deal to gain first-team experience ahead of a recall to the Knitters` squad.
