Blue Square Premier club AFC Wimbledon have signed former England Youth international midfielder Nathan Ashton from Coca-Cola League One side Wycombe Wanderers.
London-born, Ashton started his career at Charlton Athletic, impressing at youth and reserve team level with his performances on the left side of defence and midfield.
Highly-rated throughout his career, he has represented England more than thirty times between under-16 and under-20 level.
He made his Premiership debut at the age of just 20, appearing for Fulham in their 3-1 victory over Reading in August 2007.
He joined Wycombe for a nominal fee in time for the 2008/09 campaign, and has since made a dozen first-team appearances off the bench, as well as making his full debut in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
