Porter Loaned toStags
11 September 2009 13:23:00

Blue Square Premier club Mansfield Town have announced the signing of winger Levi Porter on a month's loan from Coca-Cola Championship side Leicester City.

Porter, who stands at 5' 3" tall, is a former England Youth international who has been with the Foxes for twelve years.

The 22-year-old made his City first-team debut as a second half substitute in a 3-1 victory over Ipswich Town in August 2006 and scored his first goal three months later in a 2-2 draw with Plymouth Argyle.

Manager David Holdsworth told mansfieldtown.net: "I have been a visitor to Leicester's training ground on numerous occasions and Levi is a very gifted young man. I am delighted to bring in somebody of his quality.

"He is quick, possesses trickery and is explosive. He isn't the biggest lad in the world but hopefully we can keep the ball on the base and get the ball into his feet.

"He gives me another forward option."
