David Holdsworth, manager of Blue Square Premier club Mansfield Town, has moved to sign 28-year-old striker Blair Sturrock until the end of the season.
Sturrock, son of Plymouth manager Paul, has played for eight clubs, and joins the Stags after leaving Coca-Cola League Two outfit Torquay United on loan. His last permanent club was Swindon Town.
Holdsworth told mansfieldtown.net: "I am delighted to get Blair on board. He is a very good player and gives me further competition for place.
"He is a natural goalscorer who has played at a very high level. I hope the Field Mill faithful will be pleased with this signing."
Nineteen-year-old left-back Joe Lamplough (pictured) has also signed on non-contract forms with the Stags.
The defender was a regular in Hull City's reserve team last season.
Holdsworth added: "He is a young man who played against us for Hartlepool in pre-season. Joe is a teriffic young kid and we will see how he develops. He has a cracking left foot and he now has an opportunity to show us what he can do."
"He is trying to earn a more permanent contract with us."
