Chris Williams has left Blue Square North club Fleetwood Town for Principality Welsh Premier side Rhyl.
The winger joined Town from Stalybridge Celtic in February 2009 and has found first-team opportunities limited recently.
The Welsh Premier is subject to the transfer window and Rhyl targeted the Highbury man on the eve of the deadline.
Williams, 24, will be seen as a replacement for Rhyl winger Luke Holden, who has signed a three-month loan deal with Charlton Athletic.
Holden, who missed out on a move to Coventry City earlier this month after failing to agree personal terms, could make the switch permanent in January.
Fleetwood manager Micky Mellon said: “The opportunity for Chris came when Rhyl spoke to me just before the transfer deadline about his availability.
“Chris isn’t in the side at the moment and, with the added emergence of Mullan, it made sense for him to go for first team football. I’m disappointed to see him go but won’t stand in the way of regular football being offered elsewhere. The Welsh Premier is a good standard of football and we all wish Chris the best of luck.”
