Tigers Bring in Stott
16 August 2010 09:22:00

Forward Ashley Stott has completed a move to Blue Square Bet North club Hyde FC after failing to figure for Principality Welsh Premier side Bangor City in the Europa League or in pre-season.

The 23-year-old, who made a high-profile return to the Citizens for a transfer fee a year ago after a season with Evo-Stik Leaguers FC Halifax Town, failed to reproduce his form in a second spell at Farrar Road, scoring six goals from twenty-eight Welsh Premier appearances last season.

In his previous spell with the Citizens, he hit the back of the net twenty times in fifty-nine starts and six appearances from the bench, and notched the first goal in City's Welsh Cup final win over Llanelli in 2008.

Named the Welsh Premier`s young player of the year award in 2008, Stott joined Bangor from Altrincham in July 2006 after spending time as part of the Preston North End youth and reserve sides.
