Blue Square Bet Premier club Gateshead have announced an eighth warm up game with a trip to Barclays Premier League Sunderland completing friendly fixtures against the North East's big three.
Ian Bogie will take his side to face a Sunderland XI at the Black Cats training complex on Tuesday, 27th July for a midday kick-off.
Gateshead will already have faced a Middlesbrough XI earlier in a month which will end with a home game against the Magpies.
"Being a professional club we can fit in games during midweek afternoons and going to Sunderland is another good fixture for us," said Bogie.
"The players return to training on July 1st and the first pre-season friendly is a week later at Middlesbrough's training complex at Hurworth followed by a trip to Workington two days later."
