Blue Square Bet Premier new boys Bath City have confirmed that centre back Chris Holland has left Twerton Park.
But manager Adie Britton has moved swiftly to replace the towering defender with Salisbury City’s Danny Webb (pictured), who has featured regularly at Conference National level for the past two seasons.
Holland, who has made more than 200 appearances for City since signing from Team Bath in 2005, turned down the chance to stay at the club for non-football reasons.
He is moving from Bath to the South Coast and does not feel he can commit to the travelling involved in training and playing at the highest level of the non-League game.
Webb, meanwhile, is the 26-year-old son of former Chelsea star David Webb.
He played in the League for Southend, Hull City, Lincoln City, Brighton and Yeovil and joined the Whites as a striker in 2008 before switching to a defensive role.
