Nicky Law, manager of Blue Square Bet North club Alfreton Town, has enjoyed a productive week as he looks to cement his squad in place as early as possible.
The Reds boss has made his first signing of summer by snapping up highly-rated striker Anthony Wilson (pictured) for an undisclosed fee from UniBond League Division One South neighbours Belper Town.
And Law has seen his squad building continue apace with three more of last season’s players signing new contracts.
Target man Wilson, 22, has scored thirty-seven goals in 118 appearances for the Nailers since joining them in the summer of 2007 from Hallam.
He is a centre forward in the old fashioned mould, strong and bustling, difficult to shake off the ball, but with quick feet also.
His signing will add even more competition up front for the Reds.
And there was more good news for Law with young central defender Aden Flint penning a two-year extension to his existing contract which will now keep him at the Impact Arena until 2013.
New one-year contracts have also been signed by utility player Jordan Hall and Josh Law, who has been the subject of interest from a Conference Premier club of late.
