Wings Return for Healy
23 March 2010 17:45:00

Blue Square South club Welling United have re-signed former Millwall striker/midfielder Joe Healy.

Healy recently left Ryman League Premier Division side Margate citing work commitments, but has been persuaded to re-sign for the Wings as cover.

The 23-year-old began his career at Millwall and had loan spells at Crawley Town and Hayes & Yeading United whilst at the New Den.

Healy made three Championship appearances for the Lions under Dennis Wise and he also featured in the League and FA Cups for the South Londoners, most notably in a 3-0 Third Round defeat to Liverpool at the New Den in 2004.

He originally signed for Welling in the summer of 2008 after a spell with Fisher Athletic but was released at the end of October that year when he rejoined Beckenham Town, with whom he`d previously spent time on loan whilst at Millwall.

He signed for Margate in December 2008.
