Jerry Gill, the new manager of Blue Square South club Weymouth, has used his connections with one of his former teams, Premiership Birmingham City, to bring in young striker Luke Benbow on loan until the end of the season.
Benbow, 18, had been working with Gill, who is the Birmingham City Community Youth coach.
And its the youngster`s natural ability, professional attitude and willingness to knuckle down and work hard that impressed Gill.
Earlier this season Gill recommended him to the Blue Square North side Redditch United, with whom he was turning out for, and he spent two months at the Valley Stadium, returning to St Andrews only recently.
Gill said: ''Luke is a raw talent that would have probably gone under the radar. He is a natural goalscorer who is very strong and physical in his play and having worked with him for a while now."
