Alan Devonshire, manager of Blue Square South club Hampton & Richmond Borough, has completed the signing of 24-year-old midfielder Karl Beckford.
Lambeth-born Beckford started his career as a trainee with Charlton Athletic and appeared in an FA Youth Cup semi final against Manchester United.
From there, he signed for Lewes, where he scored eighteen goals for the Rooks in his first season.
This earned him a move to Aldershot Town in December 2006, where he appeared in twenty-two games, scoring one goal, before moving to AFC Wimbledon in the summer of 2007.
At the Dons, he scored six goals in eleven starts and also spent time on loan at Bromley.
Following his release from the Dons in June 2008, Beckford signed for Carshalton Athletic and was part of the squad that reached the Ryman League play-off final.
In August, he signed for Kingstonian, but after making fourteen appearances he was released earlier this month by mutual consent.
