Cestrians Lose Wilson

Coca-Cola League Two side Morecambe have confirmed the signing of versatile left-sided player Laurence Wilson from Blue Square Premier newcomers Chester City.

Wilson, who can operate in midfield or defence, has signed a two-year deal with the Shrimps after successfully completing his medical earlier in the day.

The former Everton and England under-19 international made over 100 appearances for Chester over the past two seasons.

He caught the eye of Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy last season, despite Chester's eventual relegation.
