The Directors of Salisbury City FC are pleased to welcome back Mr Peter Yeldon, who has decided to become involved in the development of the Club once more after a short absence.
Chairman Neville Beal said: “We are delighted that Peter is renewing his interest in the Club. During his absence he and I have remained on very good terms and I hope that we can now move forward.
This is a very positive step forward for the Club, its supporters, and the residents of Salisbury, but it relies upon the football club being run as a business that is self-funding.
We need to perform on the pitch as well as off it, and everyone closely associated with the Club is passionate that it will succeed, but at the same time, it is up to the people and businesses of Salisbury to demonstrate that they want to see the Club continue. A good way of showing that would be for supporters to turn up in their numbers at tonight’s home game against Forest Green Rovers, and increase our attendances throughout the rest of the season.”
Mr Yeldon added “I have always had a personal interest in the Club and the important role it plays in the local community. We need to bring some stability back to the Club and then move forward from there.”
