Chelmsford City will complete their home pre-season friendlies on Wednesday night when a side from npower League One neighbours Colchester United visits Melbourne.
Clarets Head Coach Glenn Pennyfather is continuing to try and settle into a rhythm ahead of the new campaign.
The fixture, which was a late addition to the schedule as recently as last week, offers City another opportunity to gain match practice and could feature Marlon Patterson, one of last year’s successful squad who re-signed for the club on Monday night. A handful of triallists will also take part though Pennyfather is known to want to familiarise his new signings with the current players and gain a head start in their quest for promotion.
Adults can gain entry to the Colchester game for £5, while concessions get in for £2 and under-14s for free. Season ticket holders who secured their ticket prior to the end of June will be able to gain entry for free and can collect their season tickets at the turnstiles on their way into the ground or from the Club Office during office hours beforehand.
