Blue Square`s partnership with the racing channel RacingUK involves a charity tipping competition between the bookmaker, the TV presenters and a special guest each week.
This week for the first three days of the Glorious Goodwood meeting, that honour falls to Crawley Town manager Steve Evans.
After five weeks of the Blue Square Charity Tipping Competition, the standings show Blue Square still top of the table with two winning weeks, RUK in second spot, having won week three and the Guests bringing up the rear. That could all change this week as the special guest is the shrewd manager of the Blue Square Bet Premier second favourites!
Despite being very active in the transfer market, Evans has found time to put plenty of study into the card at Goodwood, and such is the respect for his picks today and his overall judgment, we make him the clear 6/4 favourite to win Week 6 of the Blue Square Charity Tipping Competition.
The RUK experts are next in the market at 7/4, whilst our own Alan Alger is the outsider of three at 2/1, despite holding the overall Competition lead. Paddock judges on the course at Goodwood (golf course, not racecourse) yesterday felt that Alan was not in the best condition and that his sweating up was a bad sign

The competition spans all 10 weeks of Blue Squares partnership with Racing UK with an additional 11th contest on the Tuesday of the Cheltenham Festival.
Within each week, three pre-arranged days will be selected based on the RUK schedule.
On all three days the contestants will select three win bets at the main meeting which will be settled to a £50 win stake on the unique Blue Square Starting Price.
The contestant with the highest mythical total at the end of the third day will be classed as winning that week and will have 1 point added to their annual total.
The contestant with the most number of winning weeks at the end of the 11th week will be declared the winner.
A £5,000 donation will then be made by Blue Square to the designated charity of the winning contestant.
