Reds Make Two More Impressive-Looking Recruits
07 August 2009 09:42:00

Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has completed his squad on the eve of the 2009/10 Blue Square North season with two quality additions.

The Reds` boss has made his seventh and eighth signings of summer by landing left-winger Andy Todd and goalkeeper Paddy Gamble, both on one-year contracts.

Todd, 30, is a former Nottingham Forest trainee who had a loan spell at Scarborough before moving on to Eastwood Town, Worksop Town, Hucknall Town during their run to the FA Trophy final, Burton Albion then Rotherham United where he had loan spells with Accrington Stanley and six months at Eastwood Town last season, starring in their FA Cup run and UniBond title success.

He was released by Rotherham in the summer.

Gamble (pictured), 20, was released by Nottingham Forest in the summer after four years at the City Ground and had been trialing with Notts County and Macclesfield Town.

He has plenty of experience with loan spells with Stalybridge Celtic, York City and Mansfield Town all in the last eighteen months.

Both players are available for this Saturday's opening league game at Farsley Celtic.
