Rams Take Second String Away from Alfreton
16 August 2010 19:15:00

Alfreton Town will not now be hosting Derby County reserve team games in the 2010/11 campaign.

Having originally confirmed their fixtures for the season, the Rams have opted to move their reserve team home games after reaching an agreement to play their matches at Belper Town`s Christchurch Meadow.

The move comes as part of Derby County's strategy to take the reserve team out across Derbyshire and a change of venue for this season has been decided.

Manager Nigel Clough said: “We’re delighted to have reached an agreement with Belper Town to play our reserve matches at Christchurch Meadow.

“We have enjoyed two very successful years at Alfreton and we hope we can continue to enjoy a strong and successful relationship with them.

“We’d like to thank chairman Wayne Bradley and secretary Bryan Rudkin for allowing us to use their excellent facilities and for being so understanding at the decision to switch venues for this season.”
