Blue Square Bet Premier club Rushden & Diamonds have signed 21–year-old midfielder Dominic Green on a month's loan from npower League One side Peterborough United.
The left-sided player started his career at Dagenham & Redbridge, where he attracted the attention of Peterborough, who signed him in 2008.
Green has played twenty-seven games for the Posh, scoring twice. He has also had a loan spell at Chesterfield, where he did well, also scoring twice in only ten games.
Manager Justin Edinburgh commented on the signing: “He's a left winger, but he's pretty versatile, he can play up front too. He hit the scene pretty quickly at Dagenham and Peterborough snapped him up, he's pacy, he's left footed which gives us that balance. He's got an eye for goal and gives us another option up front, or out wide if we play a 4-4-2.”
Green is the second player to be loaned to Diamonds from Peterborough, with striker Rene Howe having joined last week on a six-month temporary spell.
