Mark Cooper has signed a one-year deal Darlington to become the club`s new manager following the resignation of Ryan Kidd just eleven days after replacing Simon Davey earlier this month.
Former Kettering Town boss Cooper has been out of work since parting company with Peterborough United in February.
Prior to his departure from Peterborough, Cooper enjoyed success with both Tamworth and the Poppies in the Blue Square Premier, establishing both in the division and enjoying FA Cup exposure.
Cooper has appointed former Southampton defender Richard Dryden, his assistant at Tamworth, as number two.
More recently, Dryden was manager at Blue Square South side Worcester City.
