Monday night`s game in the Blue Square South brought together two sides challenging for a top five spot – Havant & Waterlooville and Braintree Town.
The visiting Iron started the match in third place and looking good for a play-off place, while the Hawks are outsiders in the race, beginning the evening in eleventh, some six points adrift of fifth-placed Staines Town.
And it`s pretty much as you were after a 1-1 Westleigh Park draw which will suit Braintree far more than their hosts.
But it could have been almost curtains for Havant`s play-off chances as they trailed to Brad Quniton`s 64th minute penalty conversion after a foul on striker Sean Marks.
But less than 6 minutes from time substitute Jorge Lopes – only just on – scored his first goal for the club from close range after visiting keeper Craig Holloway had blocked the initial effort.
