Blue Square North leaders Fleetwood Town welcome fifteenth-placed Gloucester City to Highbury this weekend.
Both sides enter the game having taken maximum points away from home last weekend – Fleetwood at Corby and the visitors at Farsley Celtic.
Micky Mellon is looking to maintain his teams three point gap over second place Southport, who go to Farsley.
“It’s another home game for us during the business end of the season and it’s very serious business now. Gloucester will be given all the respect they deserve because they are having a decent first season in the Conference North. We will need to be at our best to take something from the game.”
Mellon has called for a repeat performance of last Saturday’s determined approach to winning.
“The performance last Saturday at Corby was brilliant. It was gritty and fair play to the lads to adapting to a new system which we had only worked on twice in training. The adjusted really well and we came out worthy winners.”
The manager says a vocal Cod Army does makes a big difference and urges the Highbury faithful to come in force this weekend.
“We’ll need the Cod Army in strength on Saturday to get behind us. They are the twelfth man and when they are noisy it’s a huge lift for the lads. This is a massive stage of the season and we need our supporters to come along in numbers and let the opposition know they are behind us. Highbury is a real intimidating place to come when you are not used to big crowds and vocal support.
Shaun Beeley is out of the Gloucester game after suffering a knee injury last weekend.
Town took home three points from Gloucestershire in October with goals from Sean Clancy and Lee Dodgson, who has now left the club.
