Twenty-one players have now signed Blue Square South forms for Maidenhead United.
The accent is on youth with only three players over 24, the oldest being Nevin Saroya (28).
In goal Chris Tardif returns to York Road following a short but successful spell at the end of the 2007/08. His deputies will be Adam Carpenter who has been around the squad for three seasons now, and Warren Carter.
There is experience in the middle of defence with Saroya and 22-year-old Mark Nisbet, who has already played 127 games for the Magpies. The 2009 young player of the year Jamal Fyfield gives manager Johnson Hippolyte an option of playing a back three or left back in a conventional back four. Sam Collins can also play at left-back or a more attacking wing-back role.
On the right Jack Bradshaw has finally made his move to York Road permanent after three loan spells, while Tom Baddeley’s pre-season preparations have been spoiled by illness and he may well be farmed out on loan to gain match fitness.
In midfield Bradley Quamina is likely to play in the holding role, with the versatile Bobby Behzadi (pictured) able to play in the middle or on the right as required. Behzadi also offers cover for Bradshaw on the right side of defence.
Twenty-year-old signing from Northwood, Daniel Brown, has impressed in the centre of midfield, and teenager Lewis Ochoa arrives from Brentford as a creative option in the middle of the park.
Left-winger James Hamsher is another player struggling for match fitness having missed much of pre-season through injury, and Jake Brooks has been promoted from last season’s successful youth team squad.
Finally right winger Arian Tajbakhsh will be looking to capitalise on a impressive pre-season, catching the eye against Arsenal last week. Coach Dave Clarke is also ready to step into the breach should he be required.
Up front former QPR forward Kieron St Aimie is likely to lead the line alongside Staforde Palmer, who is on a three-month loan deal from Hayes & Yeading United.
Support in attack will be provided by Reis Stanislaus (signed from Woking) and Alex Wall (ex-Thatcham Town) who have both netted in more than one pre-season game.
Youth team goal machine Lee Barney had also signed first-team forms, and has justified his elevation to senior football with some decent cameo friendly performances.
Gavin James, meanwhile, continues on the road to recovery following his horrific injury in March
