As a regular at Burton Albion matches I am becoming more and more concerned by the standard of referees in the conference. Last night's match between Albion and halifax was the worst example to date both sides suffering from decisions even the most ardent fan would find hard to explain. the level of football in the conference has improved, now lets see the referees folowing suit.

I am visiting England and I come from Denmark.Last night I attended the Burton v Halifax game and the standard of the referee was a disgrace,he made some terrible decisions especially against the Halifax team.I and many of my friends from Denmark always thought that England had some of the best referees in the world but after last night,I am not so sure now

Having visited nearly every ground and watched Conference football over the last 20 years - surely the Brand at stake is The "Conference" and not "Blue Square Premier". I resent the sponsoring of these great leagues by an on line betting company but even more so the new name of the league - please retain the "Conference". I will go elsewhere for my football as from next season. Money again...

We must support our football clubs and demand fair play from the governing bodies. Last season Altrincham FC's appeal against an 18-point deduction for fielding an ineligible player was turned down by the FA, on the grounds that rules are rules.
If that is the case why, on March 26, did the FA's appeals board reduce AFC Wimbledon's 18-point deduction for an identical offence?
The FA said they had reduced Wimbledon's punishment despite their clear breach of Ryman League rules because of "specific and unusual circumstances".
But were the circumstances in Altrincham's case not also "unusual"? The club brought in James Robinson, the player in question, from Accrington Stanley in good faith that all relevant paperwork had been completed, although it later turned out he had no international clearance.
Are these not significant mitigating circumstances?
If you disagree with the FA then support Alty and go to

I think that the shots must have one of the best squads in the conference but we just don't play like it. Surely every season we should be in the contentions for the play offs.

Once again York City are going to bottle it at the end of the season!! Clayton Donaldson is only interested in staying injury free now he's signed a deal to go to Hibs in the summer, shame really because he is an outstanding player who unfortunetly isn't giving his all.My play off vote would go to Morcambe at the moment but York could do it if they really believed in themselves because they have some outstanding players. If you read this Clayton, buck up and take us up!!!!!

i totaly agree with chris. OXFORD have had more than their fair share of Live SKY games this season. They may well be a big club with a large following but surley that dose not mean they should get preference by sky.
When they have been on live they have harldy proved themself to be a promotion team. Can not wait to meet your lot in playoffs. even better at wembley and leave you too lick your egos as city reclaim their place back in the league.

Oxford are going for a Burton, it all ends tomorrow, Daggers will be up and Smith's record speaks for itself, he'll lose the play-offs, keep an eye on Stevenage, two proper non-leaguers going up and the ex-league has-beens will be left behind, have another year in your own version of hell Oxford, you deserve it!

Why they show Oxford on Sky all the time is because they are to good for the Confrence and showing League Two who they will be playing next season!!!

Chris, I hope you don't begrudge top v second being on Sky last Monday night but apart from that Sky will obviously select based on likely audience. Oxford are an ex-league (hopefully not for much longer) club with a much bigger fanbase than others - look at the attendances all season. Over 6000 home fans for a Monday night game on Sky!
