The FA have announced that this season's FA Carlsberg Trophy Final between Stevenage Borough and York City will take place at Wembley Stadium on 9 May at 2pm.
Stevenage have already played in, and won, an FA Trophy Final at the new Wembley. In 2007 a crowd of over 53,000 saw them beat Kidderminster Harriers 3-2 after being two goals behind.
The 2002 runners-up to Yeovil Town at Villa Park lifted The Trophy for the first time and it was skipper Ronnie Henry who made Wembley history after negotiating the 107 steps up to the Royal Box.
They reached this year’s Final after a 4-2 aggregate win over current holders Ebbsfleet United.
Meanwhile York City, who came out 4-1 aggregate winners against AFC Telford United, are appearing in their first Trophy Final. But it won't be their first visit to Wembley, old or new. In 1993 they won a Division Three Play-Off Final there against Crewe Alexandra, watched by 22,000.
