Darlington Deducted Ten Points
03-01-2012 17:35

It has been confirmed by Darlington FC, that they have today (Tuesday 3rd January 2012) entered into administration.

In compliance with Football Conference Rule14.A.1., the club is automatically deducted 10pts from the Premier club's total so far accrued this season.

To retain its position in Blue Square Bet Premier for next season, Darlington FC will need to comply with Rule14.B.1., prior to the date of the next AGM, (Saturday 9th June 2012), i.e. have either:

1. Paid all its creditors in full OR

2. Paid all its Football Creditors in full and entered into a Company Voluntary Agreement

(CVA) to pay all other creditors in full over an agreed period not exceeding three years from

the date of the CVA being approved.

Failure to meet the above requirements will lead to automatic relegation by one Step in the football pyramid system, or if Darlington FC were to be in one of the normal relegated positions at the end of the season, it would face being relegated by two Steps.

The club will continue under a player embargo whilst the club remains in administration.
