Academy Boys Boost Steelmen Numbers

Blue Square Bet North club Corby Town have boosted their squad by adding three youngsters currently at the FootballCV.com academy in nearby Rushden.

The Steelmen have registered Ikechukwu Ofili, Joseph Nichols-Jones and Calaum Jahraldo Martin on Conference forms after impressing their academy coach Danny Nicholls, who also happens to be Corby`s assistant-manager.

Ofili is a Nigerian-born central midfielder who has had trials in America following US Soccer Youth Sports Initiative in Lagos and in England with Peterborough United.

Forward Nichols-Jones played for Bristol City youth and Taunton Town youth team and was also selected for trials to represent South West England.

Left or right-sided midfielder Jahraldo Martin is Jamaican-born who trialled with Watford prior to joining the academy.
