Triallist Alex White will boost Workington`s defensive options this season as he penned a deal with the Reds after the 2-1 win over Lancaster City last Saturday.
White has been impressive during pre-season with the only blot on his record coming in the defeat to Penrith.
The 21-year-old, who was at Ilkeston Town last season, will replace the injured Lee Andrews for the first few weeks of the season.
The left-sided defender or midfielder joined the Robins from skilltrainingltd Northern League side Tow Law Town in June 2009.
White has previously had spells in Scotland with Gretna and Stranraer and at Blyth Spartans, where he played against Blackburn Rovers in an FA Cup Third Round tie last season.
