ASDA of Rushden and Blue Square Premier club Rushden & Diamonds have teamed up to help raise money for the `Zachary’s Fight Appeal`.
This is for local boy, Zachary Knighton-Smith, who has stage 4 Acute Neurolastoma, after it was discovered he had a 10cm tumour.
Members of the Diamonds squad, including Max Porter, Dale Roberts, Joe Day, Jake Beecroft, Sam Smith, Curtis Osano and Craig Farrell were at the ASDA store in Rushden on Thursday, to sign autographs and have photos taken in order raise awareness for the appeal.
Commercial Manager Rachel Roberts said: "We are more than happy to support this local charity and raise awareness of this illness, we wish Zachary all the best for the future."
Rushden & Diamonds manager Justin Edinburgh stated: “Anything that involves the club in the community is a positive, we are looking to do more, we’ve done school visits and hospital visits, so we’re happy to help out to raise awareness for Zac’s appeal, we wish Zac all the best.”
