Danny Carey-Bertram was undoubtedly the hero on Tuesday night for AFC Telford United in one of three matches in the Blue Square North.
The former Forest Green Rovers, Hereford and England semi-professional international hit FOUR of Telford`s five goals against bottom-markers Vauxhall Motors at the New Bucks Head.
Carey-Bertram opened the scoring after 19 minutes only for Josh Wilson to equalise 4 minutes later.
However, on 28 minutes Carey-Bertram restored the home side`s lead and then went on to complete his hat trick just before the hour-mark.
Andy Brown added a fourth on 65 minutes before the marksman added his fourth and Telford`s fifth 10 minutes from time.
At the Corinium Stadium, Gloucester City enjoyed a crucial 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Solihull Moors.
Marc Richards scored the vital goal as early as the 4th minute to put the Tigers nine points clear of the drop zone and leaving Moors five points ahead of third-bottom Gainsborough Trinity.
Stalybridge Celtic`s play-off chances took a blow as they were beaten by the same scoreline at Bower Fold by Blyth Spartans, who are now in mid-table as a consequence of the three points.
Paul Brayson notched the only goal of the game 2 minutes into the second half.
