Former Rochdale striker Jon Shaw has signed for Blue Square Premier club Mansfield Town on an eighteen-month contract.
The 26-year-old began his career at Sheffield Wednesday before moving to Burton Albion in the summer of 2004.
Shaw, who stands at 6`1”, scored thirty-one goals in all competitions during his time with Burton, and his talents were soon spotted by Halifax Town, who paid an undisclosed fee for his services in August 2007.
He netted no fewer than twenty-seven times for the Shaymen and subsequently moved for another undisclosed fee to Rochdale in 2008.
A year ago, he joined Crawley Town on loan, scoring five times in eighteen appearances, and eight months later he linked up with Barrow, bagging five goals in fifteen starts.
Shaw then had a brief loan spell at Gateshead last month and terminated his contract with Rochdale to join the Stags.
