Palmer Joins United

Blue Square Premier club Cambridge United have swooped to sign 23-year-old former Leyton Orient left-back Aiden Palmer on a free transfer until the end of the season.
Palmer, who has made fifty appearances in the League for Orient and Dagenham & Redbridge on loan, has been on non-contract terms with Blue Square South side Bishop`s Stortford having recently served an seven-month jail term for violent disorder.
Palmer is looking forward to restarting his career with the U's. He told the c.ub`s official website: "I am looking forward to making a fresh start at Cambridge United.
"I am very grateful to Martin for giving me this chance to get back into professional football and am looking to grab the opportunity with both hands."
