Palmer Boosts Injury-Hit Ilkeston

Injury-hit Blue Square North club Ilkeston Town have brought in much-travelled former Stoke City striker Jermaine Palmer

Much-travelled Palmer has most recently been with the likes of Halesowen Town, Corby Town and then, in March 2009, Weymouth in the Blue Square Premier.

The 23-year-old has also enjoyed previous stints at Stoke City, Scarborough, Hinckley United, Grimsby, York City, Alfreton Town, Grantham Town and Worksop Town.

At the start of the current season Palmer signed for Hereward Teamwear United Counties League Premier Division side Boston Town.

He is the son of former Derby County and Notts County favourite Charlie Palmer.
