CONFERENCE: Honours even at Broadhall Way

Stevenage Borough and Hereford United will go into Friday's Nationwide Conference semi final second leg on level terms after a 1-1 draw at Broadhall Way on Monday evening.

The visiting Bulls took a 74th-minute lead through Danny Carey-Bertram, who drilled a 30-yard shot into the bottom left-hand corner of Craig Mawson's net.

But home side Stevenage drew level in the 86th minute thanks to a well-taken header from Dino Maamria.

The away goal rule does not apply to Nationwide Conference play-offs, so honours really are even going into Friday's return leg at Edgar Street.

The winners will meet either Carlisle United or Aldershot, who play their second leg at Brunton Park on the same evening, with the Shots having secured a 1-0 win at home earlier on Monday. (click here for report)
