CONFERENCE: Wilder signs contract with Shaymen
Halifax Town manager Chris Wilder has signed a two-year extension to his contract, tieing him to the club until the summer of 2008.
Wilder took charge at the Shay in July 2002, following the club's relegation from the Football League, and has led them into contention for a play-off place in the Nationwide Conference this season.
Halifax moved back up to second place in the table after their 2-0 victory over York City on Monday night, in a game shown live on Sky Sports.
If Wilder sees out his contract with Halifax he will become the club's longest serving post-war manager.
