CONFERENCE: Burton leaves as Helmsley joins Farnborough
Nick Burton, who had handed in two transfer requests to the Club, has moved to Crawley Town.
The Club, though wishing to retain his services, reluctantly agreed to the request and have moved quickly and signed former Crawley Town captain Kevin Hemsley in a swap deal.
Hemsley, 22, also a central defender, is a consistent performer with an excellent attitude. He joined Crawley Town in the summer of 2002 after being released by Brighton & Hove Albion.
Kevin had the honour of lifting the Championship Shield after winning the captain's armband at Crawley last season. He has also played at Sutton United on loan.
Nick Burton made 63 appearances for Farnborough Town, scoring eight goals. The Club would like to place on record their thanks to Nick for the excellent service he has given during his time at Farnborough Town and wish him all the best for the future.
