CONFERENCE: Board changes at Farnborough Town FC

Vice Chairman Tony Turburville and Managing Director Tony Theo have resigned from the Board of Farnborough Town FC.

With the two Board members resigning, the situation leaves Chairman Higgins on his own. He said: 'I accept the decision Tony Theo and Tony Turburville took and I would like to thank them for the efforts they have made to bring the club forward. We have to get on with the situation now and continue our way and give the club a strong backbone.

"When becoming Chairman of Farnborough Town FC, I committed myself to making the club a success on and off the field, and I will stick to it. I assumed we were in here together long-term. In these difficult times, we all need to pull together. I do appreciate the loyalty and support we are getting in these hard times. Sometimes you need to step back a little to move forward. This club has vast potential and we will keep working hard to make Farnborough Town FC a vital and valuable member of the community, attractive to supporters, companies and local businesses."
