CONFERENCE: Farnborough Town sign 'Magic' Johnson

Farnborough Town Manager Dean Austin has returned to his former club Woking, for the second time in ten days, to further strengthen the Farnborough Town squad with the signing of attacking midfielder Michael Johnson.

Johnson, 22, is a former Crystal Palace and Fulham player who joined Carshalton Athletic from Croydon in 2001. He earned the nickname 'Magic' - like the legendary American basketballer - for his dazzling wing play and trickery on the ball. The 21 year-old signed for Woking at the end of October 2003 and quickly impressed Cards fans with his ball skills and fine crosses, making a total of 44 appearances for Woking, scoring three goals.

The player has signed a contract at Cherrywood Road until the end of the season and goes into the Boro squad for Saturday's home Nationwide Conference clash against Burton Albion.

For the love of the game...
