SOUTH: Urchins make three new signings and appoint assistant to Choules

Hornchurch have appointed an assistant to Tony Choules. Carl Taylor joins the Nationwide South side from Hampton & Richmond, where he was assistant to Alan Devonshire. Carl has a good track-record in coaching and previous to being at Hampton was with Devonshire at Maidenhead United, a ground that he will return to on Saturday for his first match with Hornchurch. He was also manager at Feltham.

Tony Choules (Manager) and Carl Taylor have made their first signings this week, bringing in three players. Mark Burgess and Martin Vrhovski join from Hendon, while Richard O'Conner comes in from Hampton & Richmond.

Burgess is a defender who has made over 100 appearances for Hendon; his previous clubs include Wealdstone, Wembley and Kingsbury Town.

Vrhovski was a midfielder for Hendon, having joined them in the summer from Wingate and Finchley; his previous clubs include Burnham and Hampton and Richmond.

O'Conner is a 25-year-old midfield player; his previous clubs include Maidenhead, Wimbledon and Leatherhead.

All three new arrivals are included in the squad travelling to Maidenhead on Saturday, and again to Hayes on Tuesday evening.
