NORTH: Worcester look for first win of the year

Worcester City visit Worksop Town on Saturday in the Nationwide North still looking for their first victory in 2005. City have lost four consecutive games, but produced an improved display in Tuesday night's GLS Cup tie at Tamworth, despite losing by three goals to one.

Skipper Carl Heeley will return to the side, having sat out Tuesday's game, while Shabir Khan is fit again. Matt Gardiner who has joined the club for a second spell, following his release from Redditch United, is expected to be included in the squad, while Latvian international winger Aleksejs Volosanovs, who has been playing for Ledbury Town, is likely to make his league debut, having signed non-contract forms.

Youngsters Matthew Atkinson and Luke Whittington are both unavailable. They are suspended for one game apiece, for reaching five bookings.


Half term soccer schools in February - For Children aged between 5 and 15

The Schools will include heading, shooting, passing, dribbling as well as competitions and tournaments. A certificate will also be awarded to all those taking part. Tickets to see Worcester City will also be given out.

The soccer schools are being run at the following venues, at the times listed:

Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th February 10.00am - 3.00pm

Leigh & Bransford Primary School
Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th February 10.00am - 3.00pm

Bishop Perowne High School
Wednesday 16th, Thursday 17th and Friday 18th February 10.00am - 3.00pm

Cost is £9 per day. Discounts will apply if booking for more than one day: 2 Days = £15, 3 Days = £22.
