SOUTH: Groves signs new Dorchester deal

Dorchester Town Football Club are delighted to announce that they have secured the services of their leading goal scorer Matt Groves on contract until the end of the 2006/2007 season.

Groves, who trails the Conference South leading scorer by just one goal, was out of contract at the end of this season and turned down a full time offer from a Conference National side to continue with The Magpies.

At the tender age of only 24, Groves has already made 272 appearances for The Magpies, scoring over 100 goals. His strike-rate over the last two and a half seasons though has been even more impressive notching 62 times from 122 matches.
